I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
